ABOUT US
The Jim Finks Community Sports Foundation is an up and coming organization focused on addressing the core issues of gang violence within locations that are highly active. Many low income families struggle to provide the best for their children, especially a safe environment while the parents are still at work. The Jim Finks Foundation will provide children the opportunity to participate in sports during times when needed. Through sports, children will learn valuable skills that they can use throughout their life. In Chicago from 2011 through 2018, more than 1,665 children and teens under the age of 17 were killed due to gun violence. The Foundation will work together with all participants so that they can have the mentorship they need in order to be successful in life and prevent them from becoming a statistic.
